From late 2001 to December 2006 Paul was performing with the American Shakespeare Center (formerly Shenandoah Shakespeare) in Staunton, Virginia, both as a member of their touring and resident troupes at the Blackfriars Playhouse, to which he fully intends to return when time allows.

Paul now holds a masters degree in political management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has interned at ABC News’ Political Unit, served as the communications director of FairVote - The Center for Voting and Democracy, supplied content for John Kerry’s TruthFightsBack, and worked on media research for Hillary Clinton for President. Paul now does occasional theatre education work, and as always eagerly awaits his next adventure. He is happily married to the lovely and talented Jessica Dunton, and is the disgustingly proud and doting father of Toby Fidalgo, born November 25, 2009.

Paul is also a songwriter and musician. In 2004, he released his debut album, Paul is Making Me Nervous. You can get it at iTunes, CD Baby, and other places. He’s “working” on a second album, but he doesn’t expect it will be finished, well, um... Selections that may or may not appear on said second album can be heard and purchased for next to nothing at Amie Street.

Paul blogs on many subjects, including atheists’ precarious place in American politics and culture at Bloc Raisonneur, as well as at Examiner.com, where he is the National Secularism Examiner. He now works for the Secular Coalition for America.
